Chelsea have received a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League tie against Wolves on Saturday, with key duo of N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger set to return.
Rudiger has missed the club’s new season entirely due to an injury he suffered towards the end of last season, while Kante featured for the side once this season before a series of small injuries ruined his return.
The two will, however, be in contention to start for the Blues when they visit Molineux, a tough ground to pick points as seen from last season.
Rudiger stepped up his recovery in recent weeks, and has been involved with the U-23 team twice, and might be drafted into the starting lineup.
His recovery will give the team’s backline much-needed steel at the back, and offer leadership to a young backline that has conceded nine goals from four matches already this campaign.
There is further good news for the club with Reece James too having resumed training after suffering an injury while with the U-21 team.
Pedro is also expected to be fit for the match, having missed the last two matches due to a minor injury.
The team lies 11th on the log after four matches, having won once, drawn twice and lost once.
